Shipping cartons in the classic regular slotted carton (RSC) style: four flaps top and bottom that meet in the middle and tape shut. They are the everyday cardboard box for eCommerce orders, warehouse dispatch, storage and moving, because they are strong, stack well and ship flat. Choose from 51 sizes in white and brown, from small cubes to 560 x 480 x 400mm, with many sizes made in Australia.

Packing a carton

1Tape the base Fold the short flaps in, then the long flaps, and tape along the centre seam (an H-tape pattern adds strength).

2Fill the space Add bubble wrap, paper or void fill so nothing moves.

3Seal & label Tape the top the same way and add a shipping label.

What is a regular slotted carton (RSC)?

It is the most common shipping box style. All four top and bottom flaps are the same depth, and the long flaps meet in the middle when folded. You seal it with packing tape.

What is the difference between a shipping carton and a mailing box?

A shipping carton is taped closed and is best for larger, heavier or bulk shipments. A diecut mailing box folds into a finished box with a locking lid and is best for presentable eCommerce orders.

Which carton is best for moving house?

Larger cartons such as 430 x 305 x 310mm, 485 x 385 x 265mm, 500 x 440 x 350mm and 560 x 480 x 400mm are good sizes for moving. Keep heavy items like books in smaller cartons, and choose double wall boxes for fragile or very heavy items.

How do I work out the cubic weight of a carton?

Couriers charge by the greater of the actual weight and the cubic (volumetric) weight. Multiply the outside length x width x height in metres by the courier’s cubic factor (Australia Post uses 250 for Parcel Post). Some of our cartons are named for the cubic weight they fit, such as B501 (3kg cubic) and B918 (20kg cubic).
