Why do Amazon FBA bags need a suffocation warning?
Amazon's FBA packaging rules require poly bags with an opening of 5 inches (127mm) or more to carry a suffocation warning. These bags have the warning pre-printed, so you don't need to add a sticker. Amazon updates its prep rules from time to time, so check Seller Central for the current requirements.
How do I choose the right size?
Measure your folded item and pick a bag a little wider and longer, so the item slides in and the seal still closes flat. Avoid bags that are much too big, as excess film can get caught during handling.
Can I use these bags for non-Amazon orders?
Yes. They work for any clear product packaging: apparel, linen, books and soft goods for your own store, marketplaces or wholesale. Pack them into poly mailers or mailing boxes for shipping.
