What is a honeycomb padded mailer?
It is a paper envelope lined with expanded honeycomb paper instead of plastic bubbles. The honeycomb cells compress to absorb knocks, giving bubble-mailer style protection with no plastic.
Are honeycomb mailers recyclable and compostable?
Yes. Our honeycomb mailers are made from paper, so they are 100% recyclable and also compostable. Peel off any plastic shipping label before recycling.
Do honeycomb mailers protect as well as bubble mailers?
They cushion small items well against bumps and pressure in transit. For very fragile or heavy items such as glass, use a mailing box with void fill.
What size honeycomb mailer fits A4?
Choose E4 (240 x 340mm inside), sized for A4 and C4 items. For thicker A4 items or folded clothing, step up to E5 (265 x 380mm).
Can I send a honeycomb mailer as a large letter?
Often, yes. Australia Post large letters can be up to 260 x 360mm, 20mm thick and 500g. E0, E1, E2 and E4 are within the size limit if the packed mailer stays thin and light. Check current Australia Post rules before posting.
I use bubble mailers now. Which size should I switch to?
E2 matches bubble mailer #02 (215 x 280mm) and E7 matches #07 (360 x 480mm). E4, E5 and E6 are the closest swaps for bubble #04, #05 and #06. See the size chart above.
Do you offer bulk pricing?
Yes. Larger packs cost less per mailer. E1 comes in 50, 100 and 200 packs, and E5 in 50 or 100.
