Choosing a large box✓ Pick the smallest box that fits with padding, to cut postage and void fill✓ Keep heavy items (books, tools) in medium boxes so they are easy to lift✓ Use double wall boxes for fragile or heavy goods✓ A3 cartons (430 x 305mm) fit A3 paper and many retail products✓ Check courier size limits before choosing the largest cartons

Packing a large box

1Tape the base well Use an H-tape pattern across the bottom seam and edges with strong packing tape.

2Heavy at the bottom Pack heavy items first, then lighter ones, and fill gaps with bubble wrap or paper.

3Seal & label Tape the top, add a label and mark fragile goods with fragile tape.

What is the biggest box you sell?

Our largest regular carton is 560 x 480 x 400mm (B919), about 108 litres. For long items, see our long boxes up to 1200mm.

Which large boxes are best for moving?

Good moving sizes are 430 x 305 x 310mm (B913), 485 x 385 x 265mm (B916), 500 x 440 x 350mm (B918) and 560 x 480 x 400mm (B919). Put books and heavy items in smaller boxes.

Do you have strong boxes for heavy items?

Yes. Our heavy duty double wall boxes are made in Australia from C-flute double wall board, built for heavy, fragile or high-value goods.

What is an A3 or A4 box?

It is a box sized around A3 (297 x 420mm) or A4 (210 x 297mm) paper. Our A3 cartons are 430 x 305mm inside, in heights of 140, 255 and 310mm, and our A4 cartons are about 320 x 240mm.

How do I work out cubic weight?

Multiply the outside length x width x height in metres by the courier’s cubic factor (Australia Post uses 250 for Parcel Post). You pay for whichever is greater, cubic weight or actual weight.
