Shipping box FAQs
What's the difference between a mailing box and a shipping carton?
Mailing boxes (diecut, tuck-front or self-seal) fold into a finished, presentable box with a locking lid, which suits eCommerce orders. Shipping cartons (regular slotted cartons) are taped closed and suit larger, heavier or bulk shipments. For heavy or fragile goods, choose heavy-duty double-wall cartons.
How do I choose the right box size?
Measure your product (length x width x height) and allow a little room for padding. A snug fit reduces movement and can lower postage costs. Our Box Finder can match a size for you.
Which boxes fit inside AusPost prepaid satchels?
We group boxes that fit each satchel size: small, medium, large and extra large.
White or brown boxes?
White boxes give a clean, professional look and are easy to brand with labels. Brown kraft board is less processed and easy to recycle. Many diecut sizes come in both.
Are your boxes recyclable?
Yes. Our mailing boxes and cartons are corrugated cardboard that your customers can put in household recycling, unlike plastic poly mailers.
Can I get custom printed boxes?
Yes. Tell us your size, quantity and artwork and we will quote. Request a custom box quote.
Do you offer bulk pricing?
Yes. Most boxes come in multiple pack sizes, and larger packs cost less per box. See our wholesale mailing box deals.
Can I pick up my boxes?
Yes. Pick up from our warehouses in Minto, NSW or Braeside, VIC, or have your order delivered Australia-wide.
