Eco friendly packing tape & packaging materials
Seal and pack with eco friendly packaging materials instead of plastic. This collection centres on paper packing tape: self-adhesive kraft paper tape, fragile and degradable kraft tape, and water-activated gummed paper tape for a strong, tamper-evident seal. Paper tape can stay on the box when it goes into kerbside paper recycling where accepted. Add tape dispensers, box cutters and our paper invoice envelopes, then see the links below for paper wrap, BioFill void fill and plastic-free mailers.

Eco friendly packing material FAQs ▾
Eco friendly packing material FAQs
What is the most eco friendly packing tape?
Paper tapes: self-adhesive kraft paper tape and water-activated gummed paper tape both use a paper backing instead of plastic film.
Can boxes sealed with paper tape be recycled?
Yes, cartons sealed with paper tape can generally go into kerbside paper and cardboard recycling where accepted, without removing the tape. Check your local council guidelines.
How does water-activated gummed tape work?
The adhesive is activated with water. Once applied, it bonds with the cardboard fibres, giving a strong seal that shows if the box has been opened.
What eco friendly alternatives are there to bubble wrap?
Honeycomb paper wrap, kraft packing paper and BioFill corn starch peanuts. EcoPure biodegradable bubble wrap is another option.
Do you sell eco friendly packaging in bulk?
Yes. Kraft tape comes in up to 36 roll packs and reinforced gummed tape in a 240 roll wholesale lot. See also wholesale packaging.
